Doing the best we can.

During this season we may be seeing people we would rather not be visiting with. During these times look at the person and tell yourself that they are doing the best they can. Somehow telling yourself this, using the word, "best" in your mind, helps calm down the feelings you have so that you can enjoy the day while remembering that we are with them for a short time in the scheme of our lives. I hope this helps, as it helps me. LOL

The written word.

Sometimes when things pile up and you feel as though you are overwhelmed, take a pen in your hand, piece of paper on the table and start to write. Write your fears, your happiness, your concerns and when you are done tear it up and put it in the trash. It will be so wonderful to put all that on paper and get rid of it from your mind. You are then freed to pursue things with lighter shoulders.

pain and the holidays

Holidays bring out all the things we love about it and then again there are the other emotions we don't like to think about. If you have someone who has passed on and you miss them, write them a letter. When it is finished tear it up and throw it away, making it private between you and your loved one. I promise you will feel better. If you have someone you have to see this holiday and dread it, write what you feel on paper, throw it away, making it private between you and your feelings. I promise you again that you will feel better. Enjoy your days and go with love.
